The Green Economy Arrives in Hudson Valley Tomorrow

On Friday, October 7th at 11 a.m., the Cary Institute  is presenting a special lecture by Pavan Sukhdev. Sukhdev was the past Head of the United Nations Environment Program’s Green Economy Initiative and The Economics of Ecosystems and Biodiversity Project.  Lead author of the report “Towards a Green Economy,” Sukhdev will explore how the greening of economies is an engine for growth, a source of employment, and a means of alleviating poverty.

Pavan Sukhdev is founder and chair of GIST advisory, a consulting group specializing in valuing and managing environmental impacts and dependencies. He is the Dorothy McCluskey Fellow, 2011, at Yale University.
